RIP HiShine Lip Treatment

It really breaking my heart to know that The Body Shop has discontinued another favourite of mine. After few years ago they discontinued their Oceanus scent series and their oil perfumes, now they discontinued HiShine Lip Treatment. It has been my holy grail lip tratment for years.

I sometimes have dry and chapped lips, and it's not a good thing to see or have. Even I want to cover them, I can't use any kind of lipcolour, since they makes them even worse. On that condition, I only can rely to HiShine Lip Treatment. It really treat my sensitive lips and gives them instant moisture, with sheer colour and shine for coverage as well.


Even the shine does not for a very long time that cause me to reapply frequently (a typical problem for lipgloss), and makes my lips a bit sticky, they don't really a matter to me, compared to the result I get.

So, goodbye my dear friend. Hope I will find something as good as you.

Nivea Visage Sparking White Day Care

Aku dapet sampe sachet ini dari majalah kesayanganku kira- kira sebulanan yang lalu. Sebetulnya sudah beberapa minggu ini sih tergoda untuk mencoba, tapi aku masih penasaran denga Hada Labo Alpha Retinol untuk menghilangkan spider vein yg nongkong di dahi ini, akhirnya baru deh Niveanya kepake sekarang. Seri Sparkling White ini ada tiga jenis: Facial Wash, Facial Scrub dan Day Care-nya. Tapi kok ya tanggung banget ga ada Night Care-nya ya?

Pertama kali yang menarik perhatianku embel2 whitening dan oil controlnya. Lalu pada bagian belakang pun tertulis Hasil: Kulit menjadi lembab dan tidak mengkilap. Wajahmu tampak cerah dan cantik berbinar. Well, kalimat kedua sih definitely promosi, tapi mukaku yg dehidrasi memang butuh kelembaban. Nivea ini juga mengklaim tidak akan menyumbat pori2. Hohoho, \(^▽^)/ sesuatu yang kita cintai bersama, bukan? So, dengan cukup semangat aku sobek bungkusnya, colek isinya, totol dimuka. (ehm, kok kayak iklan sabun colek yg dipake buat cuci muka ya?) Yah, pokoknya aku cobalah si Nivea tadi, saudara saudari. Bentuknya lotion, lumayan cepat menyerap di wajah. Wanginya khas Nivea banget, tapi tajem boo....... berasa seperti pakai body lotion, tapi di muka. Hari kedua, pas bangun tidur kuterus mandi........ (ﾉ´▽｀)ﾉ♪ tidak lupa menggosok gigi...... (ﾉ´▽｀)ﾉ♪. Hei, wait, stop! Kembali ke topik, pagi-pagi gak pake banget daku ngaca, ada satu jerawat batu gede. Iya, gede banget didagu. Jarang-jarang daku jerawatan segede gaban gini (walaupun gaban gak gede-gede amat). Tapi aku masih tetap positive thinking, mungkin karena saking semangatnya, aku pakai kebanyakan kemarin. Okay, dipakai normal aja. Hari ketiga, jerawat nambah satu, digaris batas bibir, kecil memang. Lalu besoknya tambah lagi dibawah hidung. Oh mai God! Yang bener aja (!o~o!). Setelah beberapa hari pemakaian, mukaku yang berminyak juga jadi sedikit kering (kering ya, bukannya minyaknya berkurang), padahal dah pake sunblock-ku yg oil base. Whitening effect-nya juga belum kelihatan sih, mungkin karena baru seminggu aku pakai ya? Agak kusam malah iya. Akhirnya, bersyukur juga sih sample sachetnya habis (＾▽＾).

The Body Shop: Born Lippy Vs Lip Butter

I can say that I'm a big fan of lip care. I've been using them since I was in high school. There's a bunch of lip balm I've tried, but my fave were L'oreal and my mom's Elizabeth Arden, which were discontinued now. I forget what the type were, because it's too long to remember. All I can remember is the L'oreal was the first generation of Color Riche. It has a bit heavy smell - especially for teenager; but really moisturize my lips. And the Elizabeth Arden was in a white tube and pink writing on it. It was fragrance free, and a bit drop of it gave an instant - long last moisture.
Well, enough if the flash back ( ･ω･)ﾉ, we return to the present (∩_∩).
For now, I think I still have ammo for about next half year ahead- maybe.


Now, I'd like to compare two products from my favorite brand, The Body Shop. They are Guarana Lip Butter and Raspberry Born Lippy.




Well, I have the old packaging Born Lippy, which I found the new one less attractive. I love the fruity printing from the old one better.
Born Lippy has the amount of 10 ml, or 8.5 by grams. Well, it can give your lips shine, but with less moisture, I can say.
Even Lip Butter has the same amounts, but it has more 0,5 grams of weight. Maybe because the texture is richer. It really moistures in an instant. Well, maybe in some cases it can exfoliate the dry lips before moisture them. Gives a bit of shining in my lips. Well....... All that I need then, moisture and shine (☆^O^☆)


Both of them cost Rp 69.000 and come in a small plastic pot (well, some variants of come in stick form) which a bit annoy me.
I usually use them alone or over lipstick to prevent my lips from chapping and gives a little shine.
Trully great partner to put in your purse. (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Biokos White 'N' Clear Series

White N Clear

I have known Biokos for years, well................ who hasn't anyway? It's sub group from Martha Tilaar, one of the biggest cosmetics company in Indonesia. I already using Biokos for the last one year, started by Vital Nutrient series. But now, I would like to review another series, the White 'N' Clear series.

 I never care about whitening products before, because for me, healthy skin is more important than white skin. But recently, my face gets sunburn easily,and getting darker time by time because of Hada Labo Gokujyun Series. So, I consider to use the save and affordable whitening producs. Lucky, there's a FDers friend who being so kind to send me her preloved yet new - some of White 'N' Clear series. Because it's from Biokos, I never doubt to give it a try. The product itself claims to make fairer skin in 4 weeks, and slows down aging process. (whitening and anti aging in one product? Wow, sounds promising. (^_−)☆).


White 'N' Clear Silky White Moisturiser

 This is the day care, comes with small 35 ml plastic bottle. The price is Rp. 33.600. Even it has light lotion texture, don't underestimate the moisturizing effect

What makes me inconvenient is only the opening of the bottle. It's quite big, so a bit difficult to control how much it will comes out.

Biokos White 'N' Clear Night Radiant Cream

Well..... Obviously, this is the night cream. It costs Rp 52.000 for 30gr, and comes with a plastic jar. The texture is light cream. At the first sight, I thought I was jelly like. It's not as thick as Biokos Vital Nutrition night cream.

 It quicky sinks on my face and doesn't give oily effect. Just right.


The last is........

Biokos White 'N' Clear Radiant Whitening Essence.

The essence

I can say this essence is unique, because it has two forms,capsules and liquid, which have to be diluted together. In one package that cost Rp 123.400 consist of 28 capsules in small plastic jar and 30 ml of liquid in a small bottle with pump. I use it twice a week, just like the SA adviced me, before sleeping. To use it, dilute 1 capsule - ehm, I mean, open the capsule, and dilute the powder which in the capsule, not the whole capsule. - with about 4-5 drops of the liquid essence. I can say that the mixture feels a bit powdery and dries my face.


 For the result is, my face looks fairer a bit, not whiter, but return to my original skin tone very fast. The price is quite affordable, and the products is availabe in some hypermarket around. Or we even can buy them online from their official online store. Oh yeah, the prices above are from their online store as well.

Pro:

• Affordable price
• Easy to get, avaiable in some hypermarket or supermarket. We even can buy it from the official online shop.
• Good result

• Suitable for all skin type

Cons:

• Big opening for the day lotion.
• Impractical essence, have to be diluted between the capsule and the liquid.
• powdery dry feeling essence

Repurchase: Hm...... I don't think so, I intended to use anti aging regimes.

Viva complimentary

Siapa sih yang gak kenal Viva Cosmetics? Dari jaman si nenek masih pake bedak compactnya dan nyokap yang tiap pagi sebelum kerja pake body lotionnya, sampe nih hidung hafal banget

sama wanginya.
Memang gak banyak produk Viva yang aku pakai, tapi adalah beberapa biji di beauty case. Harganya yang murah meriah dan bahannya yang safe buat kulit setelah teruji berpuluh-puluh tahun, menjadi alasan banyak perempuan -termasuk diriku- untuk memilih Viva. Not to mention hasil pulasan makeupnya pun gak kalah dengan merk lokal lainnya yang lebih mahal.

Beberapa hari yang lalu, akhirnya tiba juga paket dari Viva Cosmetics (＾▽＾). Paket ini merupakan complimentary dari Viva yang aku dapatkan karena join memberships-nya Viva, padahal dah kapan tau joinnya, dah lupa duluan aku.

 - Milk cleanser & face tonic green tea 100 ml (standard size). Worth to try nih, banyak testi di forum yg bilang nih duet bagus.
 - Viva white all in one face cleanse & bodlot (30 ml tester size). Never try this before, but there's always first time for something.
 - Viva white clean n mask for oily/ acne skin green 10 ml (tester size). Yang ini masker sekaligus pembersih favoritku, pakenya simple banget. Karena dia sekaligus pembersih, jadi biasanya daku pake sebelum mandi, sambil nyapu, ngepel, dan melaksanakan pekerjaan upik abu lainnya. Abis itu, baru deh mandi sambil dibilas. Muka langsung keliatan lebih bersih. Tapi untuk dipakai sebagai facial wash, baunya agak2 kimia banget deh.

Acnes UV Tint SPF 30 PA++

I never care about sunblock before, because I thought my skin is medium tone, and I already using face powder with sunscreen. But everything was changed since I use Hada Labo Gokujyun lotion and milk range. They makes my skin photosensitif, so I'm starting my quest to search sunblock. 

My first choice was Acnes UV Tint. I read alot of good reviews about this product, about how good it deal with oily and acne prone skin, so I gave it a try (my skin is not acne prone, but oily? Yes!) I bought it for IDR 39.900 in Watson. It has small and simple packaging that fit into bag or purse perfectly. It contains 30 gr, with SPF 30 and PA++ that's enough for daily use. It has sheer colour that sink in fastly and blend in perfectly on my face, without any trace of grease and keep my face matt. I also don't find "ashy-effect" like some bloggers do. I also like how it.gives me natural and neat looking. I don't bother use my powder anymore, except for going out. It can be used as makeup base as well. Yay! ლ('▽'ლ) What can't we love more than simpleness (^_-).

After using it for some time, I realize that this sunblock is not only suit for acne prone or oily skin only, but also quite moisturizing for dry skin.

But this sunblock does not work as good as  I expected. I still get sunburn! (´・｀). And it clong pores if you don't exfoliate regularly (i alwalys double cleanse my face, but it still has the tendency to clong my pores).

Acnes UV Tint is a very good sunblock for daily use, with reasonable price. But never forget to deep cleanse.
